A theme I’ve visited a couple of times before. What’s so great about consciousness? What does it mean to say ‘the universe becoming conscious of itself’? Is it just a case of anthropocentrism?
Sartre and Nishitani: Existentialism and Buddhism

With a “be here now” attitude of the Buddhist, the Existentialist differs from the Buddhist in many significant ways, in spite of certain similarities. Existentialist anthropocentrism Nishitani will tell Sartre is just one of many exciting ways they differ.
